When I walked into my apartment on Monday I heard a loud gushing noise. At first I thought it was my washing machine, but it wasn't. My water heater had exploded, and my entire kitchen was full of water. I quickly called my landlord, and she tried to help me turn off the water. Unfortunately, whoever put it in 20 years ago didn't put any shut off valves on it. The maintenance man wasn't too far away, so he came over. He had to turn the water off outside. After about a hour and a half I had a dry floor, and a new water heater. I was amazed. I have the best landlord in the world!
