Anchor #1: Good Afternoon, I’m _____________

Anchor #2: and I’m ______________. You are watching the Sunday afternoon edition of LDS-TV Primary News!

Anchor #1: We have a very exciting show for you today, including an exclusive interview with a family member of SOMEONE everyone is talking about.

Anchor #2: But first, let’s get to the TOP STORY. The prophet of God will be speaking to the world in just a few weeks.

Anchor #1: The first weekend in October is General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This conference is where President Thomas S. Monson, the prophet of God, will speak to the world.

Anchor #1: Members of the church will come in thousands to Salt Lake City, Utah to hear the prophet. He will speak in the new conference center in downtown Salt Lake City. If you are unable to go, there are several ways to see and hear him.

Anchor #2: You can watch the entire conference at any church building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or you can even listen and watch the conference on the Internet.

(BREAKING NEWS)

Anchor #1: I’m sorry to interrupt, but we have some breaking news. It looks like we may have some severe weather at conference.

Anchor #2: Let’s go to our LDS-TV Primary News meteorologist ________________ and find out exactly what is going on. He joins us live from Waterloo. __________?

Meteorologist: ________ and _________, Severe weather may be a problem on general conference weekend. There is a low pressure front moving down from Canada that may cause some artic winds and rain. You might need to bring an umbrella if you plan to be in Utah that weekend. If you’re in the Shoals there might be a chance of isolated tornados. Coming up later in the show, I will give you a full weather forecast for conference weekend. ________?

Anchor #1: Thanks, ________. Let’s get back to our TOP STORY. General Conference will be held October third and fourth. There will be two sessions on each day, plus a priesthood session Saturday night.

(BREAKING NEWS)

Anchor #2: I am sorry to break in again, but we have more breaking news. We were going to have an exclusive interview later in the show, but it seems like our LDS-TV Primary News Lead Reporter has been able to get the exclusive interview RIGHT NOW.

Anchor #1: _________ LDS-TV Primary News Lead Reporter joins us live from downtown Florence. __________, you were able to find someone who knows the prophet very well?

Reporter: I did, ________ and __________. This is Bob (Roberta) Monson. He/She is a cousin of the Prophet. Bob (Roberta) can you tell us a little bit about President Monson?

Bob(Roberta): President Monson is the 16th president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1927. He is the second of 6 children. He graduated from the University of Utah. He taught there for awhile, but decided to go into the publishing business. He became at bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he was only 22-years-old.

Reporter: Thanks for that insight about the prophet. Are you going to be able to go to Salt Lake City for conference?

Bob(Roberta): You bet I am! I wouldn’t miss it for the world. How often do you get to see and hear from the prophet of God?

Reporter: Not often, the church only has conference twice a year. Thanks for spending some time with us. Reporting LIVE in downtown Florence, I’m ___________ Lead Reporter for LDS-TV Primary News!

Anchor #2: Thanks, ___________. Conference begins at eleven o’clock Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to mark your calendars.
