Snow storm = church canceled

They have canceled church today because of the snow and ice. The roads are really dangerous. The snow melted Saturday, then turned to ice over night. I had to do a report on all the cars losing control. It looks like a big ice cube outside. Hopefully by the end of the day some of this will be melted.

Joshua Stephen Ault's pocket watch

I inherited my great-grandfather's pocket watch. I really haven't had a place to display it, until today. I was doing a story at an antique store in Clinton, TN today, and met a watch collector. He had some really cool pocket watch display cases. I bought one for $18.

I'm coming home in 60 days!

I spoke with Leigh Saturday, and we have made plans to drive together to go to Abby's wedding. We will leave Thursday, March 18th! Woo-Hoo!!

Ault Street, Knoxville, TN

It's true . . . there is an Ault Street in Knoxville. Before church this morning, I set out to find it. I got a man on the street to take my picture in front of it. When everyone comes to visit, we will have to take a picture in front of it. WARNING: It is not in the best part of town, bring your guns.

Do you like my new bio photo?

I am not a big fan of it. I was really sick the morning this was taken. What do you think? It has been posted on www.wate.com

Tennessee FREEZE!

I was doing a story about road conditions in Wartburg, TN Friday night, and drove by these icicles. I thought they were pretty amazing. Anyone ready for summer yet?

The Agees come to Knoxville

Beth and Jackson Agee from Muscle Shoals, AL stopped by in Knoxville today. Beth works in the Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Office - which used to be by my office at WAFF-TV. I took them to downtown Knoxville and gave them a tour of the studios at WATE-TV. It was great to see some friends from Alabama.

Do I look scared?

Saturday is the last day Dollywood will be open for the season (they reopen in March), so I thought I should go today for the first time. I bought a season pass for 2010, and rode some pretty cool rollercoasters. I even bought a DVD of me riding the Tennessee Tornado (the one that I look like I'm peeing my pants). I had a good time (even thought it was FREEZING!)
