Josh is an official anchorman
Today I got to anchor for the second time at WAFF-TV. Last January, I filled in Saturday night, today was Saturday morning. I did an entire hour all by myself (8-9). I had to be at the station in Huntsville, AL at 5 AM, so I had to leave my apartment at the early hour of 3:30 AM. Everything went really good. I had two brand new producers helping me, but they did a great job. The entire crew, camera operators, and teleprompter guy did great. Do you recognize that green suit I am wearing? It's my missionary suit, that's right, I can still fit in it 10 years later. I am glad my news director gave me this opportunity. Maybe a full-time gig is in my future. . . we'll see.

Swine Flu hits North Alabama
I am hoping I don't get the Swine Flu. I did a story at Muscle Shoals Middle School today. They had 53 kids out sick. Over at the high school 124 students were absent. Only 6 students have had a positive test for H1N1, but a lot of parents are freaking out. Don't forget to wash your hands, and if you start getting a fever, cough, and muscle aches go see your doctor. I just hope I don't get it!

Josh interviewing Coach Terry Bowden
On Thursday and Friday, I had to cover the University of North Alabama football practice. This year they hired Terry Bowden, the former Auburn Head Football Coach, to coach the team. He is pretty well-known in Alabama - and his father is popular in Florida. This photo was put on the university's web site http://www.roarlions.com/
